36 session of general court of Krasnodar region was carried out on 21 of July, 2010. The main theme of the session was the report of the administration of Krasnodar region over the work in 2009 and 2010.  The governor of Kuban Alexander Tkatchev delivered the substantive report about achieved results and plans for the future.

The governor noticed that Krasnodar region is among six base regions of the country according to results of a complex analysis of social and economic development, which was carried out by the Regional Development Ministry of Russian Federation over three hundreds of indexes. The region entered this list of "country-forming regions" for the first time.

The most favorable climate and natural conditions as a whole, developed transport infrastructure and diversification of the economy were mentioned by Alexander Tkatchev among the key advantages of the region. Gross Regional Product of Krasnodar region is formed in recent years by 5 leading branches of the economy: agricultural sector, building, transport and resort complexes, industry. Thanks largely to the development of these sectors of the economy the region avoided the deep economic recession in crisis of 2009.

Speaking about figures, GRP is managed to keep at the level of 828 billion rubles – decrease is less than 3%. In the base sectors of the economy the regional indexes are higher than average over Russia at the rate from 1 till 20 percentage points. Social obligations are 100% fulfilled, unemployment is decreased. In the first half of 2010 increase of GRP made up 4.2% (GDP of Russia grew at 4%), till the end of the year this index must be at the rate of 5.5%.

Alexander Tkatchev claimed that the administration of the region is up against the task of accelerated development of the key branches of the economy. It can be achieved thanks to diversification of economic structure at the expense of creation of the clusters with high value added: industrial, transport and logistics, resort and agrarian, and also thanks to technological modernization and innovations implementation.

A special attention was given by the governor to investment potential of Krasnodar region. 20 large investment projects at total sum of almost 38 billion rubles have been realizing today. During the first quarter 69 billion rubles are already invested to the economy – that is half as much again level of 2009. No less than 481 billion rubles of investment are planned till the end of 2010.

Alexander Tkatchev marked out a special role of successful development of the gambling area "Azov-City" in Scherbinskiy district: "Only last year skeptics told that the region digs money to ground, when we were building roads and other infrastructure for future gambling area. And already today we have the only in the country place of legal gambling industry development. It is safe to conclude that Krasnodar region got a new point of economic growth for forward years".

The governor noticed that the realization of all lines of development of the main economy sectors must pursue the main aim – the growth of life quality in Krasnodar region.
