A delegation from the Krasnodar Territory is taking part in the 14th Riyadh Travel Fair in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom.
The event is attended by over 30,000 people from 50 countries. Resorts from the Krasnodar Territory are showcased at the Discover Russia booth. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the recreation and travel options available in the region’s resort areas.
«This is a popular global platform where major companies showcase tourist products and services, primarily for tour operators in Saudi Arabia. Arab countries are a top priority for tourism cooperation. As part of the strategy to promote Russia’s tourism globally, participating in this exhibition is a key tool for showcasing our country in the international tourism market,» said Mikhail Zaritsky, the acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar Territory.
The region's delegation is currently meeting with tour operators from the Gulf countries. Their meeting with the Russian Trade Representative in Saudi Arabia, during which they presented the resort potential of Kuban, was successful.
According to representatives of the delegation, residents of the Gulf countries are drawn to the Krasnodar Territory because of its rich cultural heritage, pleasant climate, natural beauty, and numerous family-friendly entertainment options. Negotiations are ongoing to establish direct flights between Moscow and Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
